Owner Mariah Brown started serving her delicious oxtail and birria tacos from City Kitch before expanding into a food truck with weekly pop-ups throughout Charlotte. Now, she is getting ready to upgrade again, this time with an official Storefront at the Pass, according to the company’s Instagram. Brown tells What Now Charlotte that she expects to open by the end of the year. Other tenants at the development include Pine, Borderline Bar & Billiards, Soul Gastrolounge, and more.

The new 1,428-square-foot space will feature an indoor bar, table, booth seating, weekly events, and new menu items. In addition to the delicious tacos and wings, Mariah’s Taco Spot will offer more desserts, such as strawberry crunch churros and cookies and several classic cocktails. The new storefront will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, with hours going as late as midnight on the weekends.

“It’s official: WE OFFICIALLY HAVE A BRICK & MORTAR,” according to the company’s social media. “From selling tacos out of my apartment to the ghost kitchen to the food truck to the brick-and-mortar, I am so appreciative of your support over the years. I wouldn’t be here without you! Our new location is going to be your new favorite place for tacos & tequila! I can’t wait to share every step of this journey.”
