The new drive-thru-only site will be located on the corner of South Stratford Road and Oakwood Drive, at 289 S Stratford Rd, according to the Triad Business Journal (TBJ).
John-Lewis Godfrey, chief operating officer at Hubbard Commercial, shared that the company secured a lease for the new Clutch location three to four months ago. The site, previously occupied by a Kangaroo Express gas station, has been cleared by Davie Construction Co., paving the way for construction to begin in August. The target opening date for the new coffee bar is October 2024.
Since its inception in the Carolinas in 2018, Clutch Coffee Bar has grown to six locations in North Carolina and seven in South Carolina. The Triad area currently hosts three Clutch locations, including one on University Parkway in Winston-Salem. The new South Stratford Road location will be approximately 11 miles south of the first Winston-Salem site.
Clutch Coffee Bar’s Instagram account indicates that the chain has 14 other locations in development, including a new site in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, set to open in August.
