Jeffrey McBride launched his food truck in 2019 with the goal of introducing Korean flavors to more people. Originally from Fayetteville, he came to Charlotte about two years ago, bringing his brand with him.

Though McBride has been local for some time, he services a wide area with his food truck. He is looking forward to being in a set location with more space at Camp North End.

“I’m opening this spot at Camp North End to have a more stationary location for people to reach me a lot easier,” McBride said. “I cover from South Carolina up to Huntersville with the food trailer, so I’m all over the place. That’s the main reason why I wanted to operate at a more stationary location, so customers don’t constantly have to try to chase me around to eat with me or try it for the first time.”

McBride’s food truck is known for its bulgogi, including its seoulgogi — which is his version of beef bulgogi — as well as chicken bulgogi. He often serves the dishes with a twist, offering items like bulgogi tacos and loaded fries. Blasian Asian Way also has wings and fried dumplings on its menu.

While the menu will include many of the same items, McBride said that with the added space, he will be able to expand the menu to include items that used to be offered for a limited time only, like his beef short ribs. He is also planning on serving beverages like beer and soju.

The new spot will be opening Sept. 4.

“I’m still fairly new to Charlotte, so I’m excited to be a part of a community I wasn’t familiar with previously,” McBride said. “It’s a cool area. I like the vibe they have going on there. I’m just excited to be part of that community, and be part of that team.”
