The spot was previously occupied by the seafood restaurant Rocksalt, which closed in August.
Bossy Beulah’s falls under the Noble Food and Pursuits brand. Jim Noble, the CEO of Noble Food and Pursuits, has discussed his plans for expanding the brand throughout the Charlotte area in the coming years. He already has another location in the works in Concord at 3070 Derita Road that is expected to open early next year.
Noble told the Charlotte Business Journal that he plans to start construction on the Park Road spot in early 2025 and expects to open it later in the year.
He was attracted by the visibility of the area, which he felt would help further the brand.
“If you can’t make it there, you can’t make it anywhere,” Noble told the Charlotte Business Journal. “That’s probably the best retail location in the city.”
Bossy Beulah’s currently has five locations: two in Charlotte, one in Winston-Salem, one in Fort Mill and one at the Bowl at Ballantyne, which opened in August. Its chicken-centric menu includes sandwich options, wings, chicken bites and wraps. Its signature meal — dubbed “The Beaut” — is a sandwich made with fried chicken breast, Duke’s mayo and pickles on a Copain bun.
Noble also heads up other brands under the Noble Food and Pursuits umbrella, including Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen, The King’s Kitchen, Copain Bakery and Provisions, Noble Smoke and The Jimmy.
