What Now Charlotte recently reported that Rob Jacik, owner of Carolina Beer Temple, has a major expansion project in the works. It will allow for more space for Carolina Beer Temple, and it includes Ames Street Marketplace, a new concept that will feature food, a cocktail bar and entertainment.
The marketplace is expected to lease space to about six vendors in addition to having its own restaurant and bar, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. Jacik views it as a good location to help kickstart and expand small businesses.
Crawford’s concept is the first vendor to be revealed for the upcoming marketplace. Plans include a concept similar to his food truck Chop Chop Red Pot, which serves Southern-inspired street food such as shrimp and grits, pulled pork sandwiches and short rib grilled cheese.
It is unclear at this time what the precise timeline will be for the opening of Crawford’s concept. However, Ames Street Marketplace is expected to be completed this winter, with a target date in January or February, Jacik told What Now Charlotte.
