The Brass Tap just opened a location in Raleigh, led by franchise owners Roshan Baral and Niraj Bidari. Currently, it is the only location open in the state.
However, the brand has bigger plans for the state, according to reporting by the Charlotte Business Journal.
“We hope to develop Durham and Cary, Wake Forest, of course, eventually move into Charlotte,” CEO Chris Elliott told the Business Journal. “There’s a lot of opportunity in North Carolina.”
As of now, it is unclear what neighborhoods the company would select for locations. The previous franchise locations were in South End and Riverwalk in Rock Hill.
The Brass Tap opened in Wesley Chapel, Florida, in 2008 and has since expanded to more than 40 locations across 12 states. The franchise is known for its craft beer offerings. It also serves other beverage options like wine and cocktails, and it serves food items like tacos, burgers, pizzas and gourmet pretzels.
Right now, the company’s reentrance into the North Carolina market is just beginning, and locations in the Charlotte market are still a long way out. Elliott told the Business Journal that he and the team are focusing on building awareness for the brand in the state to eventually spur this future growth.
