This will be Fry’s second restaurant concept in the Triangle and his third restaurant opening in North Carolina. He currently has locations for another Mexican restaurant concept, Superica, in South End, Charlotte and in Cary.
Little Rey currently has three locations: two in Atlanta and one in Houston. There is also one on the way to Nashville.
The menu consists of a variety of tacos “al carbon,” featuring wood-grilled meats. Other items on the menu include chips and guacamole, queso fries and flautas.
The beverage menu features draft beers, bottled beers and margaritas, as well as some non-alcoholic beverage options.
The spot is 4,200 square feet and will feature a patio space, according to Axios Raleigh.
Fry has multiple restaurant concepts in his portfolio, including Beetlecat, Marcel and The Optimist. His concepts have a strong presence in Atlanta — where the restaurant group is based — as well as in Houston and Nashville.
The Raleigh location for Little Rey is listed as “coming soon” on the website and is expected to open by the end of the year.
