Whataburger has been planning to open several locations in North Carolina, and there is now one in the pipeline for Greensboro.

It is heading to a development by Koury Corp., joining a Chipotle and a Starbucks, according to the Triad Business Journal. The spot is off I-40 at Gate City Boulevard beside the Four Seasons Towne Center and Sheraton hotel.
A building permit uncovered by the Business Journal indicates that the new Whataburger will be 3,305 square feet with a $1.1 million construction cost.
Whataburger also has sites in Kernersville and High Point in the works, as well as some in Charlotte, as previously reported by What Now Charlotte.
The burger chain has more than 1,000 locations across 16 states. Most remain corporate-owned locations.
