The 8,600-square-foot space will be transformed into a western-themed bar designed for dancing and fun. It will feature a DJ booth and an indoor stage for karaoke and live music. There will also be a courtyard known as “The Outpost” with a live music area, food trucks and a satellite bar.

The concept is a revival of restaurant-bar Nickyo’s Rodeo, formerly located at 731 Providence Road from 1985 to 1994. The bar was formerly owned by Nicky and Bessie Panos. Bottle Cap Group partners Valerie Brewer and Britton McCorkle were interested in reviving the concept because they used to frequent the original Nickyo’s.

“The original Nickyo’s was really an amazing place, and not just for its time,” McCorkle said in the release. “Bringing it back for the Charlotte of today — to be a place for living life to the fullest — is a goal we had and something we’re very excited to be able to do. We will do our best to make Nicky and Bessie proud.”

Bottle Cap Group collaborated with The Plaid Penguin on design, aiming to create a colorful, fun, western cowboy themed-space that honors the history of Nickyo’s Rodeo.

Bottle Cap Group has other concepts in its portfolio, including Ink N Ivy, Papa Doc’s Shore Club, Vine Nightclub and Brazwells Neighborhood Pub.
