Built on Hospitality is managing and developing the restaurant for owners Troy Brewer and Hemant Patel.
The 2,500-square-foot space is expected to feature a bar and seat 55, and there will be an additional outdoor space that will seat 30, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. The menu will feature small plates with flavors from Greek, Israel, Lebanon, Spain, Italy and North Africa, as well as a wine list, the Business Journal reports.
Established in 2020, Built on Hospitality consists of chef Chris Coleman, manager Sean Potter and partner A.J. Klenk. The team has other concepts in its portfolio, including Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails, The Goodyear House, Folia and Chief’s Modern Cocktail Parlor.
“Chris, Sean, and AJ come from various backgrounds in the hospitality industry and have been brought together to create Built On Hospitality because of their shared love of all things restaurants, community, and giving back,” the Built on Hospitality website states. “Having worked on various ventures together before, they know how to bring unique experiences and perspectives to the forefront and use their platforms they’ve built up over the years to bring about change to communities and the hospitality industry.”
What Now Charlotte got in touch with Potter, who confirmed that Mazi is on its way. He could not immediately provide further details.
