Copain Bakery & Provisions currently has one location open in SouthPark. The Winston-Salem bakery, listed as “coming soon” on the website, will be located at 380 Knollwood St. Ste. I. The spot will be next to Rooster’s, a fellow Noble Food and Pursuits concept.

“Copain Bakery & Provisions keeps growing and has really started to hit its groove,” Jim Noble, founder of Noble Food and Pursuits, said in an email statement. “The community has been asking for a concept that meets their need for a coffee in the morning and lunch in the afternoon, so we are very excited to bring this French cafe to Winston-Salem.”

Copain serves artisanal breads, baked goods, coffee, grab-and-go salads and sandwiches and wine.

“We’re more than just a market. We are the southeast’s premier Boulangerie-style bakery,” the website states. “Just like our culinary forefathers (and mothers) in France, we love to work with our hands. Our organic, naturally leavened breads take several days to produce, from fermentation to fresh-out-of-the-oven, resulting in bread that is both good and good for you.”

Copain is part of Noble’s collection of concepts. His restaurant group also features brands like Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen, Noble Smoke, Bossy Beulah’s and The Jimmy.

The spot is expected to open this winter, according to The Go-To Winston-Salem.
