Co-owners Dave and Jacintha Sutton shared the news on Facebook, revealing plans for the new location at 106 Clebourne St., right at the main intersection of downtown.

“We’re excited to announce that a second location is coming soon to Fort Mill!” the Suttons posted. “Everyone we have talked to downtown is excited, and we have been receiving multiple calls a day asking about when we will open. This is huge for us, and we look forward to the challenge.”

The new Hot Dog Depot will continue the drive-thru-only model, but will feature a small indoor space for online order pickups. While outdoor seating is not currently planned, it may be added in the future. The opening is tentatively scheduled for August or September, contingent on city approval and construction timelines.

In addition to the new location, Hot Dog Depot launched a revamped menu. “Last year we rolled out a new menu with significant price increases. That was a very difficult decision, but we did it to survive as we were losing money and it wasn’t sustainable,” the Suttons explained. The new menu aims to provide clearer pricing, based on customer feedback, and includes exciting new items such as the Hot Honey Brat, Smokeshow, and Corn Puppies. Customers can also now order a burger in any of the hot dog styles. Importantly, the prices of existing items will remain unchanged.

Another exciting update is the expansion of the popular Wiener Wednesday discount. For the past four months, Hot Dog Depot has been offering a 10 percent discount on hot dogs every Wednesday. This discount will now extend to all food items, making Wednesday an ideal day for first-time visitors to try the menu.

Looking ahead, the Suttons have plans to integrate delivery services like DoorDash, and to launch a loyalty program.
