“This is truly a full circle moment for me,” says Conrad Hunter, Founder and CEO of Foxcroft Wine Co, and eighth generation Mecklenburg County native in a statement. “Huntersville was named after my Grandfather’s Great Uncle, Robert Boston Hunter. Of Scottish descent, the first Hunters originally settled here via Ireland prior to the American Revolution. And much of my extended family still lives in Northern Mecklenburg County.”

At Foxcroft’s new Birkdale Village location, guests will be greeted by an expansive patio overlooking the community gathering spaces, while inside they will find Foxcroft’s signature cozy, laid-back aesthetic. The food menu is inspired by wine-driven cultures and features classics like their House-Ground Burger and Truffle Fries, as well as shareable dishes like charcuterie boards and scratch made-small plates. For those with a bigger appetite Foxcroft will also serve freshly made pasta dishes, seasonally inspired steak and seafood entrées, as well as their signature dessert – donuts!

With a selection of more than 40 wines available by the glass, and a representation of nearly 500 different labels by the bottle, there is something for everyone at the newest Foxcroft location. “Guests will be able to choose from an extraordinary range of high-quality wine from around the world displayed on open shelves throughout the restaurant or choose from our extensive by-the-glass list,” says Wine Operations Manager, Shawn Paul. And thanks to Birkdale’s social district, guests will be able to sip on their favorite wine while exploring the area shops, courtesy of Foxcroft’s to-go wine glasses.

“At Foxcroft, you won’t find the typical restaurant price markup on wine bottles, or a fee to enjoy them. Guests canchoose to enjoy a bottle tableside at the sticker price or bring it home at a 25% discount,” says Paul. There is also anOnline Wine Shop, as well as the opportunity to join the Foxcroft Wine Club where you can subscribe to receive two bottles per month, as well as complimentary participation in their monthly wine tastings. The restaurant will also host monthly ticketed Wine Dinner Events centered around a theme, wine region, or featured producer hosted byan expert guest speaker.

“We’ve watched Foxcroft Wine Co. grow into a truly beloved local brand over the years, and we’re thrilled to officially welcome them to The Village,” said Birkdale Village Marketing Manager Maureen Smith. “We can’t wait for our neighbors to discover their new favorite wines and enjoy delicious, scratch-made bites, all while soaking up the restaurant’s easygoing, charming atmosphere.”
