The $14 million uptown food hall by Crescent Communities and Nuveen Real Estate has announced it is expected to open in early November 2023, according to Charlotte Business Journal. Additionally, Monarch Market also announced it has signed five more tenants for the food hall, including the second location of Kebab 2 Go, originally located at 4200 South Boulevard. Owner Tony Soufi will serve a scaled version of its original menu with all of the classics.

“Kabab2Go is a tradition that started 70 years ago, offering authentic Lebanese cuisine using the best ingredients,” Soufi said in a statement. “We are thrilled to join the Monarch Market community and bring these Mediterranean flavors to Uptown,”

This food hall will offer a variety of Lebanese mezze and grilled kababs. The original South Boulevard site offers sandwiches and salads. This will be just one of 12 food stalls in total. Monarch Market will also feature three bars where guests can bring in their food purchases.

Other new tenants announced include Seoul Good, a new concept from the owner of Sosu. Two of the three bars were also announced, including Aster Cocktail Room and the open-air Lanai Terrace Bar. Previously announced tenants include Barley and Burger, Curry Junction, and Rolled AF.

“Monarch Market is shaping up to be a culinary experience unlike any other in the Southeast,” says Brendan Pierce, president of commercial at Crescent Communities.
