Co-owners Clarence Boston and Orlando Botero initially announced in late 2021 that they are expanding the Atlanta-based Hippin Hops Brewery to the space but are now pivoting to opening a new brewery, according to Axios Charlotte. The duo decided on the name in response to the community’s vocal frustration with the city’s growing number of breweries. Another Brewery is expected to open in the next month or two.

“It’s a ‘brewery’ but basically a neighborhood dive that brews its own beer,” Botero tells Axios. “You can expect high-quality bar food (wings, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, salads), ice cold drinks, darts, games, and sports on the TVs.”

While the name may confuse a few patrons, it points out the fast-growing phenomenon of opening breweries in Charlotte. In addition to Another Brewery, the area is also expecting to see Lost World’s Brewing expanding into Metropolitan this winter, Suffolk Punch will open its third location in Birkdale Village next year, and Protagonist will reopen in a bigger spot in Optimist Park sometime in 2024. As of now, Charlotte has over 40 local breweries in operation.

Another Brewery, coming to Bainbridge NoDa on North Davidson Street, will separate itself from its competition by maintaining a relaxed environment with plenty of entertainment. On top of having a full bar with wine and liquor, the company plans to host trivia and music bingo a couple of nights a week. Another Brewery will have 3,900 square feet between its indoor and outdoor space.
