The company’s second Rock Hill location is the first tenant to land at the upcoming mixed-use development called Allston, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. The project includes 825 square feet of retail space, 97 townhomes, and plans for retail and services along Herlong Road. The new 2,325-square-foot Chipotle is currently under construction and is expected to open sometime in early 2024.

The Allston recently received a massive investment from Warren Norman Co., which invested $6.5 million for the development. This isn’t the only Rock Hill project from Warren Norman Co. The firm is also working on Perch, a $14 million, 28,000-square-foot project that includes a new two-story, 23,000-square-foot building and renovating the former Coca-Cola Bottling Co. facility. The group is also working on another commercial project in Rock Hill that consists of 30,500 square feet across multiple buildings.

When the new Chipotle Mexican Grill opens early next year, customers can expect its signature selection of bowls, burritos, or tacos with a variety of options. It’s unclear if Chipotle will be using this site as a location for its new Chipotlane concept, which allows customers can order online and pick up through a drive-through. Those in the Rock Hill area who don’t want to wait a few months to get their hands on Chipotle can visit the sole area location at 2316 Cherry Road.
