The company’s fourth location is set to move into the Queen City Quarter around mid-May 2024, although an official opening date has yet to be announced, according to Charlotte Observer. The restaurant, known for its Southern soul food, started in Dallas in 2020 and has expanded to Chicago and Washington, D.C. Now Kelley is ready to expand again, offering great food, unique cocktails, and an enjoyable experience.

“We are beyond excited to bring Kitchen + Kocktails to the Queen City,” Kelley said in a statement. “I’ve always enjoyed connecting with people I’ve met from Charlotte over the years and am deeply humbled for the opportunity to join the city’s culinary community and deliver America’s greatest comfort food. Get ready!”

When the new location opens later this year, customers can expect an extensive menu focusing on classic soul food entrees while providing a modern twist. The dynamic comfort food restaurant will focus on well-plated comfort foods, including flavored fried chicken, lobster tail, shrimp, grits, creative waffles, and other southern classics made with a twist. Kitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley features oxtails, greens, black-eyed peas, and candied yams to go with desserts such as peach cobbler and banana pudding. The restaurant also offers brunch on the weekend, featuring over 16 specialty cocktails.
