The company’s 12th location will move into the former home of Husk in Greenville’s West End in August 2024, according to FOX Carolina. The Matador has nine locations throughout the West Coast and finally expanded beyond that with a location in Charleston in 2023. The company is following up with another location coming to Charlotte’s South End, on the edge of Dilworth, which is expected to open next month.

Once that opens, the company will focus on its second South Carolina site, serving an array of tequila and delicious Mexican food. The Matador has an impressive collection of over 150 tequilas from all over Mexico and a variety of creative cocktails crafted by our in-house mixologist. As for food, the restaurant offers mouth-watering entrees, such as tacos, burritos, and enchiladas, made with protein, including pollo, carnitas, and seafood, plus all-natural ingredients and in-season vegetables.

“The Matador will boast a stylish, sophisticated ambiance that’s warm and inviting,” according to the company’s website. “Our menu features scratch-made dishes using the freshest seasonal produce, seafood, and meats, all complemented by an extensive tequila list with something to suit every taste. Our knowledgeable staff is passionate about tequila and Mexican-inspired cuisine, ready to guide you towards your perfect drink and dish.”
