Owners Dan and Olga Khmelnytskyy currently operate an indoor playground in Monroe, offering kids a place to play and adults a place to relax with a drink or snack. Now, the duo is getting ready to expand the concept throughout the greater Charlotte area, with at least three upcoming locations planned. The company’s website lists the next Playland will be coming to Mooresville at 122 Trade Court. After this, the company plans to open another location in Concord.

Playland was recently announced as the newest tenant coming to Parkway Crossing in Pineville, along with Desi District and Fight Sports Charlotte, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. Playland will operate an 8,750-square-foot location featuring a cafe with snacks and coffee and an open floor plan with child-safe gates. The new Pineville location is targeting an opening date in May 2024. MPV Properties says that the 55,664-square-foot shopping center at 11812 Carolina Parkway Place is now fully leased.

“We offer families a year-round and affordable day of fun with an interactive space for both kids and adults,” according to the company’s website. “Playland is more than just a playground for kids. It’s a community space where we host fun events and a comfortable and inviting oasis for everyone to grow and make great memories. Come let your kids burn off some energy while you enjoy delicious locally roasted coffee in our cafe—or join in on the fun!”
